The first DJ we had at WTB was DJ Tyrone. He said he enjoyed the beach so much he wanted to play a set for free. He dragged his equipment over and we were hooked. Tyrone became our first resident DJ. Without his gift of a free set, our iPod might still be our exclusive musical outlet.

Also during the 2005 season, we had a deft display of turntablism by The Brother's Brothers. It was September 07, 2005 and the gig included a special performance by Bit Shifter. Tiger Beer sponsored.

We also had our first ill fated event in 2005. We were approached to host a “indie rock event” which turned out to be noise core. Nothing wrong with that, but they had requested a 8pm time slot. They had some amazing artists but it wasn’t the right music for our crowd. Had they requested something later, it would have worked, IMHO.
